The Beginning

Lemmell Brown grew up in Washington State. While living in Roy, Washington, Lemmell had 2 total knee replacements in 2009, and 2010. In her childhood home shoes came off at the door. While recovering she intensely searched for something to cover the bottom of her cane. In solving the problem Lemmell became an accidental inventor.  Others saw the cover, expressed excitement and interest in having one. Lemmell realized Covers by KIC satisfied a need beyond herself.  She made the 1st one by hand with a needle and thread. In 2014 Lemmell obtained a patient. Lemmell desired  share easy to use, spirit lifting covers that allowed others to smile and feel good while using DME.
